The deep of space is lonely and cold, even for an artificial life form. The ship she resides on stops to explore a planet long void of humanoid life. War and famine had destroyed all of it long ago. Some vegetation was all that was left on this harsh world. She shed an artificial tear thinking of all that was lost here. Feeling had been programed in here circuitry early in her life. So she brought back a souvenir, a single rose she found which her database told her that it was a symbol of love that humans shared on this world. She would keep it safe and long for the day that she too might find love.
