I've noticed some things lately that kind of bug me. Since I've been uploading some photos of lovely ladies that I've photographed, I've gotten plenty of page views and fav's. I'm not sure how many of you take the time to check out the profiles of people that 'fav' your art, but I've noticed some disturbing stuff! I've visited some pages of people that have fav'd my photos of these women and found that many of them have no profile made up, no art of any kind of their own, all of their 'fav's' are mostly nude or semi-nude women, and in some cases have been on DeviantArt for many months and in some cases YEARS! Now believe me, I love a beautiful woman as much as the next guy (or girl) as the case may be. And yes a majority of my 'fav's' are beautiful women in various stages of undress, but as you can see, I am here to feature MY art and photography, not prowl for free nude pics!  I 'fav' many photos either for the pure beauty of the model and style of the photographer, or for great ideas for my own photography. There's plenty of free porn sites if all you want is pictures of naked women. What scares me even more is that I've noticed that people blindly thank these people for 'faving' their photos! Sure, I'm sure there are a few 'art appreciators" out there, but to be on here for YEARS and have no work of your own, or even a profile, be certain I won't be thanking you for 'faving' my work! Do yourself a favor people and find the time to see who's 'faving' you work, you might be surprised!

What an interesting point of view. Being one of the people that fav pictures of women and have no profile to speak of, I feel I should comment on this. I arrived on this site because of the other art that I really enjoy and use for my private backgrounds for my computers. I get tired of the same old stuff you find on the web and there are many talented artists here that I feel as long as I am not publishing or trying to steal their work in any way would not mind so much me using their art as desktop backgrounds. (these backgrounds are never ones of women or sexual in nature) I am not an artist of any sort but I enjoy to view what I deem beautiful just like any other person. That being said, I believe art, like treasure, is in the eye of the beholder. Some people may view cars as art, other have a more abstract view. I on the other hand tend to lean towards the female form as being my favorite channel of art. I am not a fan of those that just post the raunchy graphic shots of women. Those I do believe are more pornographic than artistic in nature, But that is just my take on things. I am more of a fan of the photos of those women that may be partially undressed because I like to leave something to the imagination. Not to say I do not fav nude photo's as well, it is just that it is faved for more than them just being nudes. For example, a pose, expression, make up or so on. I do take the time to comment on the ones that are more exceptional. I do not think it is fair to point out any one person for faving one certain style of art. I do not make up any profile because I am a bit anti social on the web. I believe that socializing is best done in person and the phenomenon of autonomous socializing on the web has caused society to withdraw a little bit and has been a cause of people feeling more paranoid and alienated in real life. never the less, the topic is admirable and has brought an interesting conversation to light. I just figured I would add my two cents so that more than one perspective could be shared.

I appreciate you commenting and getting the side of it from someone that kind of fit the profile I commented about! The difference is that you took the time to fill out some Devious Info, reply to people's comments, and your 'favs' aren't all nudes, there are many very artistic, clothed and even "face only" shots in there.
The only thing that might make me suspicious is your Deviant ID text about the "creepy old guy"! :giggle: I thought I was the creepy old guy! :lmao:

Uuuh I know, it's the truth... but I will be honest, I was never bothered by it until you put it that way!

Same here. I never really thought too much about it until I visited the pages of the people who were faving my photos of women. Most people were awesome artists and photographers themselves, but some just seemed creepy. (Not that I'm squeaky clean)! :giggle:
